June Weddings: Capturing Love Across South WalesJune Wedding Photographers: Capturing Love Across South WalesAs wedding photographers and videographers, I know there's something extraordinary about the wedding season in South Wales. This May and June, we at One Vision Photography and Videography had the privilege of capturing unforgettable moments at stunning venues across the region. Each wedding had its unique charm and character, thanks to the beautiful locations chosen by our lovely couples. Here’s a little journey through our experiences at these remarkable venues. The Great House, BridgendOur wedding season they kicked off in Bridgend at The Great House, a charming venue that blends historical elegance with modern amenities. The building’s rich history, dating back to the 15th century, provided a romantic backdrop for the wedding. The Great House's beautifully manicured gardens were a photographer's dream, offering numerous spots for capturing intimate moments and group photos. The indoor spaces, with their rustic beams and cosy fireplaces, added a touch of warmth to the photos, making every shot feel like a step back in time. The Old HouseNext, we found ourselves at The Old House, another venue steeped in history. This 12th-century inn located in Llangynwyd is a gem of a location. The quaint charm of The Old House, with its stone walls and antique furnishings, made for some truly enchanting photographs. The outdoor ceremony area, surrounded by lush greenery, allowed us to take advantage of the natural light, resulting in some breathtakingly beautiful shots. It’s always a pleasure to work in a venue where history and nature combine so effortlessly. Pencoed House EstateOur third destination was the Pencoed House Estate. Nestled in the heart of Cardiff, this venue is a perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance. The Grade II listed manor house and its surrounding grounds offered endless opportunities for stunning photography and videography. The stone archways and wooden beams inside the estate provided a unique backdrop, while the expansive lawns and gardens were ideal for capturing candid moments. The evening light at Pencoed House Estate is particularly magical, giving a golden hue to the photographs and videos. Canada Lake & LodgeThen, we made our way to Canada Lake & Lodge, a venue that brings the beauty of the outdoors to every wedding. Set on the edge of a picturesque lake, this venue offers a serene and tranquil setting that’s perfect for a wedding day. The reflections on the water, the surrounding woodland, and the beautifully crafted lodge itself all contributed to some incredible shots. Whether it was a lakeside ceremony or a reception inside the lodge with panoramic views, Canada Lake & Lodge never failed to provide a stunning backdrop. De Courceys ManorOur journey continued at De Courceys Manor, a luxurious venue that exudes elegance and sophistication. Located in Cardiff, this manor house is renowned for its exquisite interiors and beautifully landscaped gardens. The grand staircase and opulent rooms inside the manor made for some classic and timeless photos. Outside, the gardens were perfect for capturing the couple and their guests in a relaxed and natural setting. The staff at De Courceys Manor were incredibly accommodating, ensuring that every moment was perfectly captured. King Arthur HotelFrom there, we travelled to the King Arthur Hotel in Reynoldston, a venue that perfectly encapsulates the charm of the Gower Peninsula. This family-run hotel offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making every wedding feel personal and intimate. The rustic barn, surrounded by rolling countryside, provided an excellent backdrop for both the ceremony and the reception. The King Arthur Hotel’s combination of rustic charm and modern amenities made it a delight to photograph and film. Glyngynwydd Wedding Barn and Cottages
Our final destination was Glyngynwydd Wedding Barn and Cottages in mid-Wales. This venue is a hidden gem, offering a unique and rustic setting for weddings. The barn itself, with its exposed beams and charming décor, was perfect for capturing the essence of a countryside wedding. The surrounding cottages and gardens added to the venue’s charm, providing plenty of opportunities for stunning outdoor shots. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Glyngynwydd made it a joy to work there, and the resulting photos and videos reflected the love and happiness of the day.
